Shaker

Introducing the Shaker by Ballistic Fun - the most iconic of our toys.

These toys are built to impress and provide endless entertainment for both dogs and humans alike.

At the core of the Shaker is a 20cm dark blue, soft, yet incredibly durable ball that is resistant to biting and designed to withstand the toughest play.

The Shaker features six 20cm yellow sticks with yellow borders (unlike the photos above).

The Shaker does not have or need any squeakers or crinkle paper, as it's exciting enough as is! All the dogs we've tested the shaker with have simply gone wild on it.

The shell is made of Ballistic Nylon 3350d coupled with a layer of heavy-duty cotton canvas, ensuring exceptional durability.

Every joining point is reinforced with three seams using a special thread made of Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight material called Dyneema. A single line of thread is tested to life over 25Kg of weight (Approx. 55 Lb). It is known to be the strongest fibre available on this planet.

Unlike shown on the pictures, the stitching lines on the ball have now all been hidden away, and are therefore not accessible by dogs.

The blue squared stitching lines on the yellow spikes are not structural, and therefore not Dyneema. Their purpose is to properly couple the two layers together, and to provide an easily recognisable pattern for your dog.

The Shaker floats in water, it can be machine washed, and it dries in minutes.

This soft toy has synthetic stuffing to prevent it from absorbing too much liquid and to avoid the build up of bacteria.

The Shaker is not a chew toy, however, it is incredibly resilient and can take a fare amount of chewing. If you see your dog persistently chewing on it though, do swap the toy with an actual chew toy.

The Shaker is ideal for Tug of war, shaking, water games, throwing, outdoor play, wrestling, mouthing and pretty much anything which is not persistent or destructive chewing.

We have tested the Shaker extensively with dogs up to 60Kg, including Cane Corso and XL American Bullies. It's tough, it's cool, but it's still soft enough for a dog, and its unusual shape has so far triggered the curiosity of dogs and dog owners alike.

The Shaker is too big for some dogs. It measures overall about 60cm, so it's not suitable for dogs under 20Kg, no matter how strong they are. At the same time, if you have a dog weighing over 50Kg, we recommend some caution, especially if you have multiple, very large and strong dogs. Remember... it's as tough as a soft toy can be, but it's still a soft toy!
